Rest easy my brother in blue. Thank you for being a role model to me while we were both in the academy (class of 123 & 124). Seeing you and your classmates come to the academy every day and give it your all inspired me through all of the smoke sessions to never give up and to one day be where you guys were. Until I see you again.

Hey Brother,

I am so thankful this morning to see your page has finally been made. For 2 years I’ve searched for your name in hopes of seeing it up here where it rightfully belongs. I miss you and I talk about you often. I haven’t removed my memorial band since it came in the mail. It has become a tradition that the only time I take it off is when I tell people the story of how you tricked me for weeks during training that you couldn’t speak Spanish. I’m sure most have heard the story some have probably heard it several times but to me it never gets old. It’s one of my fondest memories that I have with you and I can vividly see you grinning in the patrol car that day at the BP the day I heard you speaking Spanish on the phone with your grandmother. I smile every time I tell it.

I saw your little girl earlier this month. You’d be so proud of her and how much she has grown. She is a spitting image of you and I am so blessed to still get to watch a piece of your life blossom, I just wish you were here to see it and share the photos like we use to during shift change.

Continue to Rest Easy and in Comfort knowing that we will continue to watch over them.
