Reflections for Deputy Constable Katherine Hutson

Heavenly Father, Lord our God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our sister, Deputy Constable Katherine Hutson, of the Harris County TX, Precinct 5, Constable's Office, and her young daughter, were suddenly and violently taken from us; struck and killed by a drunk driver in the "Line-of-Duty". Come swiftly to their aid, have mercy on them, and comfort their family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the cross. In the mighty and holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.

Scripture Verses of Hope, Comfort, and Support from "The Law Enforcement Officer's Bible":

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons [children] of God." [Matthew 5:9 CSB];

"Let the little children come to me [Jesus Christ]. Don't stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." [Mark 10:14 CSB]

"Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." [Luke 23:43 CSB], and;

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." [Matthew 5:4 CSB].

RIP sister. My heart breaks for you and your little girl. I can’t count how many times my own little girl has been in my squad or had to sit with me at extra jobs… I always have that fear in the back of my mind, “what if something happens”. I’m so sorry that it did to you and your baby. I’ll be praying for your surviving son. I pray that he’s strong and has a life full of love and support. Godspeed to you and your little girl, at least you’re together.

Katherine was an amazing Deputy & an amazing mother to her children. As a former colleague of hers. This has hit home directly to the vest. Katherine always had a smile on her face. She would & could make you smile & laugh, even on your worst day. This still feel so unreal. Devastated by this huge loss. Katherine will be missed by the entire Precinct 5 Department, her friends & loved ones.
