This is a very sad situation that occurs way too many times and needs to come to an end somehow. Folks simply need to look forward when driving and not “gawking” to see if it’s someone they know or just the fact they want to see WTF is going on. Whatever it is that’s going on, move over to the next lane and give law enforcement safety to do their job and even more important get off the phone. Is it really that important to get on your phone and text message your friend or relative to let them know that you had a turkey burger for lunch and when you look up it’s too late and your plowing through a school bus stop.
This will be a very, very sad weekend for three Law enforcement families. May God look over them during these difficult days ahead.

I graduated the academy in Polk County (Core 27) with Butch in 1996. Butch should be remembered simply as a great man! He was the type of person others tried to be like. May you rest in Paradise brave peacekeeper!
