Dear Heavenly Father, God of Justice, I am grateful for the lives and sacrifices of all America’s Peace Officers. They died serving us. Help us never forget. Help us celebrate their lives and honor their sacrifices. Be with the families of these fallen peace officers. Comfort them and give them Your strength and peace. Guide us as we seek to take care of the families of these fallen heroes. May we care for them with integrity. In commemorating the deaths of these fallen heroes, help us also to remember that death is not the end. Death does not have the final say, but is simply the transition from this earthly life to the heavenly life yet to come. This assurance was guaranteed to all believers upon the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. We look forward to that life to come with joy and anticipation. Thank You, Lord God, for hearing this prayer. In the mighty and holy name of Christ Jesus, and by His Authority, I pray. Amen.
Holy Scripture on Law Enforcement’s Mission:
“For the policeman [peace officer] does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman [peace officer] is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he [the peace officer] will have you punished. He [the peace officer] is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should.” [Romans 13:3-5 TLB]
Holy Scriptures for Support, Hope, and Comfort:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]
[Jesus Said,] “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13 ESV]
And he [Jesus] said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” [Luke 23:43 ESV]
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." [Matthew 5:4 ESV]

Deputy Campbell, a police officer should be remembered not by how she died but by how she lived! A brave woman has left to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you for your 6 1/2 years of commitment to law enforcement, your family, and the Oswego County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace, Sister!
