Heavenly Father, You are Compassionate and Merciful. None of America’s Peace Officers leave home without the fear of not returning at the end of their watch. It is a fear that is lived daily. Unfortunately, the worst does sometimes come to pass, and lives are left shattered. Lord God, bless and keep the hearts and souls of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. Wipe away the tears from their eyes. Soothe their pain and bind up their emotional wounds through the wounds of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In His name, and by His Authority, I pray. Amen.

Scripture Verses of Comfort and Hope from "The Law Enforcement Officer's Bible":

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 CSB]

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who will I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me." [Isaiah 6:8 CSB]

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." [Matthew 5:4 CSB]

This is heartbreaking, and I do not know you. But I am praying for your family, and I thank you for what you did. My family is police in STL city, and this is devastating. I pray your family is allowed to celebrate your life forever, and that the suspect receives full justice.

Anything that I could say, will be a feeble attempt to comfort lives affected. Officer Carson put herself between us and danger while being a wife and Mom. Lord, Bless her Husband, Children, Family, Fellow Officers and Friends with Your Love and Grace in these times to come. Our hearts are broken. The Blue Line is very thin.
