My heart is broken. The Deputy was doing what he was sworn to do, and trusting he would go home. I am Praying that our Lord will bring easement of mind and calmness of heart to his Wife, Children, Family, Friends and Fellow Officers in these days to come. He stood between us and danger, and words can't express our Gratefulness for his service. God Bless You Family and those that Protect us and will take their next shift.

Lord Jesus, as we watch America’s Peace Officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes increasingly difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension, lawlessness, and violence. In light of the peace officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our broken communities and our law enforcement agencies. Carry us through this time of strife and grief, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.

God's Biblical Mission for America's Peace Officers:

"For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should."
[Romans 13:3-5 TLB]

Holy Scripture Verse from 'The Law Enforcement Officer's Bible':

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who will I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me." [Isaiah 6:8 CSB]

I met Hunter when he followed my son home to go fishing one afternoon many moons ago. I watched him grow up and become a man, husband and fellow LEO. He has a beautiful young family and lots of friends in our community. He will be sorely missed. RIP Brother.
