A brother, a hero. A selfless man, you looked for the positive in bad situations. The way that you were so proud of your kids, how you expressed your love for your wife. You were building such a beautiful life. I’ll forever be thankful to have known you, the many conversations about deer hunting, ATV’s, heavy equipment, countless videos of you falling asleep and really shaking the room with your snoring, the many times we joked about you bailing on lunch to go home and eat a sandwich knowing you were doing it for an excuse to stop and see your family. A community police officer, looking for ways to make a difference. Love you brother!

Deputy Reedy, a police officer should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A brave man has left to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you for your 7 years of commitment to law enforcement service, your family, and the Smyth County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace, Brother!
