To Detective Fernando Esqueda's family, fellow workers and friends. It is with deep sadness that I read about Detective Esqueda's ambush and murder by a coward. Although I didn't have the honor to know Detective Esqueda, he is a hero and he will never be forgotten. My prayers and condolences go out to him, his family and friends. God bless and may God comfort all of you at this time of sadness and loss.

God bless you Detective Esqueda, you’re a true hero. You served your county with honor, dignity. Now rest sir, at the right hand of God for eternity. I give my heartfelt condolences to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, and detective Esqueda’s family, and friends. These horrible events need to stop, and these criminals pay the ultimate penalty for their crimes. Please, everyone who reads this reflection say a prayer for all these true heroes who put their lives on the line every day they’re on duties, protecting the city, and is citizens.

Detective Fernando Esqueda, my deepest sympathy to your family, your Department and to all those that love and care about you. I am sickened reading the details of your murder at the hands of this cowardly criminal. I pray that justice will come quickly. I thank you for your brave service to all of us. You had so much more to do here!
