Thank you for your sacrifice for our nation. May you be with the Lord and may he be with your family.

Lord God, You are the light, the Love, and the Life. The ultimate example has been shown to us through the work and ministry of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet in daily life, You raised civil servants in our nation, the United States of America, who also lay down their lives for the protection of others. We magnify You, Lord God, for continuing to show us what it looks like to serve and suffer in a redemptive manner. Help us to put in practice the example of these fallen peace officers in our own lives, so that their sacrifices may not be in vain. In Christ Jesus' mighty and holy Name, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.

A Scripture Verse from the Law Enforcement Officers Bible:

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." [Matthew 5:4 CSB]
