Lord Jesus Christ, as we watch America's Peace Officers bravely succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes increasingly difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension and lawlessness. In light of the American Peace Officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement departments and agencies. O Lord, carry us through this time of hatred and strife, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy Name, and by Your Authority, I pray for America's Fallen Heroes. Amen.

A Scripture Verse from the Law Enforcement Officer's Bible:

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons [and daughters] of God." [Matthew 5:9 CSB]

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

Almighty God, grant comfort to the family of Agent Davis Geovanni Martinez of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services - Division of Parole and Probation, as they mourn his death. Since You are Judge over all, guide the civil authorities charged with the investigation of this terrible crime that the evidence may be carefully considered and those responsible be brought to justice. Give the family patience in their waiting, and lead them to forgive, even as You have so graciously forgiven us. In Christ Jesus' mighty and holy Name, and by His Authority, I pray. Amen.

"And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am! Send me." [Isaiah 6:8 ESV]

Agent Martinez, a police officer should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A brave man has left to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you for your 6 years of commitment to law enforcement service, to your family, and to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services - Division of Parole and Probation. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Officer Martinez
Thanks for your sacrifice and dedicated service to the citizens of Maryland. Obviously conducting home visits on your own could be fraught with risk, but you were out there doing it anyway. Thanks for being out there and being diligent and protecting us. You shall not be forgotten.
