Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Agent Davis Geovanni Martinez

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

It’s the unwavering love that one has to fulfill his honorable duty. It’s unfortunate that it had to come to terms like this. I do know that your name will not be in vein. It’s sad to see your life cut short by a guy violent offender. This is not a time to mourn but a time to reflect on a great life you once lived. May you continue doing what you loved forever and ever.

Your sacrifice is not in vain. Thank you for serving your community and for going out, by yourself, to complete the calling and the mission. We do it all the time, asking for little in return, and rarely having the support we need; however, the work is worthy and makes a difference. I pray for your family at this incredibly sorrowful time. You made a difference and paid a high price. We will keep going and remember you.

What a great loss all due to performing his job. Regardless of the capture of his attacker, this person doesn't deserve to breathe. Our communities are maintained with safety through these dedicated individuals from parole/probation, field agent social workers, etc. The all saying runs true, "You can run but you can't hide".
