Rest in peace, buddy. You meant a lot to everyone at the facility, there isn’t a dry eye at 4th Avenue today. I could always count on you to have my back no matter what the issue was. All I would have to do is ask for help and without question I had you as backup, because that was the kind of man you were. You and your father keep heaven safe for us until we get there. We have got it down here. Rest easy.

Rest in peace, Joshua, you were so unnecessarily ripped from our lives today.
Although I only worked with you for a short time in the jail before we both went sworn, I will cherish the times we were assigned to the same housing units together.
You were always an Officer that I knew would be there for me if things went south while at work, I'm glad I was able to cross paths with you in life.
Your smile and contagious laughter will be missed by all who knew you.
Rest in Peace Hero, your dad would be proud of the man you were, we got it from here, Rest easy "supercop", we miss you.

Rest in peace, Officer Briese. My prayers to your family and friends that are left behind with a big hole in their heart. May they find the strength to carry on.

Never do you think it'll happen once, much less twice. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, loved ones and co-workers. My father was a deputy that died in the line of duty also. They give so much for so many.

Lord Jesus Christ, as we watch America's Peace Officers bravely succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes increasingly difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension and violent lawlessness. In light of the American Peace Officers who are no longer with us, I pray for the endurance or our communities and law enforcement departments and agencies. O Lord, carry us through this time of strife, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy Name, and by Your authority, I pray. Amen.
A Scripture Verse from "The Law Enforcement Officer's Bible":
"Then I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who will I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me." [Isaiah 6:8 CSB]
