Reflections for Police Officer Joshua Eyer

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

On Monday April 29 at 1:30pm, your life got taken from you from such a tragedy. It was so sad to hear of your passing. My family attended your procession, it was very heartbreaking. Your wife, son and the Mecklenburg Police Department miss you very much. All you could hear was gunfire. Your son’s poem was very heartbreaking to listen to. You lived what you loved doing but some bad guy took that away from you. You are going to be missed by everyone.
