Agent Ramos-Velez, a police officer should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A brave man has left to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you for your 12 years of commitment to law enforcement service, to your family, and to the Puerto Rico Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Vaya con Dios Hermano!

Lord Jesus Christ, as I watch America's Peace Officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes difficult for their families, friends, and colleagues to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension. In light of the American Peace Officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and America's Law Enforcement Agencies. O Lord, carry us through this time of strife, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy name, and by Your authority, I pray. Amen.

From the Holy Scriptures:

"And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, "Here am I! Send me." [Isaiah 6:8 ESV]
