Reflections for Deputy Director Scott Densmore Ritchey
Deputy Director Ritchey,
On today, the 3rd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but also when you served with the U.S. Army-especially in Afghanistan and Iraq. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Scott was one my first direct supervisors after entering on duty in Puerto Rico. He will always be remembered to me as one of the greatest leaders I’ve encountered in my 16 years in law enforcement. We bonded immediately and I took any chance I could get to spend time with him to become a better Agent. I’ll never forget him always volunteering for high risk missions and being shoulder to shoulder with his men.
Scott was a warrior, he always had his door open, took care of his people, and I would’ve followed him into battle anywhere. I think about him almost everyday walking by his old office and hope to see him again.
