Reflections for Patrolman Michael D. Callahan
Michael Davitt Callahan was my great uncle and emigrated to Chicago from a place called Callaghan’s Cross in County Kerry in Ireland. All of the family are very proud of his service and sacrifice for the people of Chicago and the USA.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 104th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect, not even 124 years.
