is no greater love, than he who lays his life down for a Friend. Welcome to the Kingdom of God.

Dear Trooper Popp, Only God knows why this happened. We are sick about it. You suffered one of my husband's (retired firefighter/paramedic) greatest fears about working on the Xway - being hit by a careless driver. We pray God will take care of your wife and daughter and see them through this great burden. Our nightly prayers will be for them. He will need to hold them close and give peace, hope and comfort to their hearts and give protection, strength and provision for their future. Losing one of our own is heartbreaking. Thank you for giving your life for our protection.

Trooper Popp,

Thank you very much for your service to the people of the state of Michigan. You were taken from your community so soon after beginning your career with the Michigan State Police. I have no doubt you impacted many lives in the short time you were on this earth. I will pray for your wife and daughter, as well as your friends, loved ones and c colleagues. Rest in peace.

Those who have walked the Blue Line a step at a time knowing our brothers and sisters who also took their steps to no return feel another pain in our hearts. Our grief reaches for yet another. For another spouse , for more children and another community all have lost an important part.
