Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

Jeremy, it’s so hard to wrap my head around the fact that you’re actually gone. The moment I got the text about what happened and you were gone will be burned in my memory forever. I couldn’t get to George County quick enough. I sit back and reflect on the many nights that we would work grant together, and you saying “Ok, I’m going to start a pursuit, so be close with Magic”. Or the fact that you would go through a whole ticket book in 2 nights. The funniest night ever, was when we played a prank on you and had Glenn turn around on a check point in his Tundra. You had no clue it was him and tore out after him to go catch him. We laughed so hard, until we heard you come over the radio “39 SO, I’m 10-35 with a black Charger south on Old 63”. We all made a pact, that we would never ever tell you about that. But you know now. I can promise you will never be forgotten and we will keep your memory alive, forever! Till Valhalla!!

"Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died."
