So many people forget the sacrifice of those who sustain life altering injuries. These folks lose their livelihood, their camaraderie, their ability to do the one job they dreamed of doing their whole life, all because they wanted to serve the people. We all have to make a conscious effort to not only help those when they are first injured, but to continue to support them throughout their lives. God speed, may you have the peace that may have been absent in these last years on earth and be reunited with the one you love.
