Police Officer Darrin McMichael served the Arlington Police Department in Texas with unwavering dedication and commitment until the unfortunate day of September 21, 2023, when he made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. As we reflect on his life and service, we are reminded of the selflessness and courage that define our law enforcement officers.
Officer McMichael's service to his community was marked by his unwavering sense of duty and his dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of the citizens of Arlington. He stood as a guardian, a symbol of protection, and a beacon of hope for those in need. In the face of danger and adversity, he exhibited remarkable bravery, putting the safety of others above his own.
The sacrifices made by officers like Darrin McMichael underscore the challenges and risks that come with the noble profession of law enforcement. They willingly place themselves in harm's way to maintain peace and order, often without hesitation. This dedication is a testament to their character and their unwavering commitment to upholding the law and serving the community.
Officer McMichael's passing serves as a somber reminder of the importance of supporting our law enforcement officers and recognizing the sacrifices they make daily. As we mourn his loss, we must also honor his memory by continuing to work towards safer communities and by appreciating the dedication of those who wear the uniform.
To Officer Darrin McMichael's family, friends, and colleagues, we offer our deepest condolences. We share in your grief and are grateful for his service. His memory will live on as a reminder of the bravery and dedication that define our police officers, and he will forever be remembered as a hero who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect and serve.

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.
I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

Heavenly Father, You are Compassionate and Merciful. None of America’s Peace Officers leave home without the fear of not returning at the end of their watch. It is a fear that is lived daily. Unfortunately, the worst does sometimes come to pass, and lives are left shattered. Lord God, bless and keep the hearts and souls of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. Wipe away the tears from their eyes. Soothe their pain and bind up their emotional wounds through the wounds of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In His name, I pray. Amen.
Scripture on Law Enforcement Officers:
“So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow. For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should.” [Romans 13:2-5 TLB]
