On behalf of the 68 dedicated volunteers associated with POINT 27 across the United States, we would like to offer condolences for Deputy Sheriff Alejandro Martinez. Please know we are eternally grateful for Alejandro’s service and his ultimate sacrifice.

To honor Deputy Sheriff Martinez, POINT 27 sent 27 Thin Blue Line Dog Tag Necklaces, engraved with “Blessed are the Peacemakers for they will be called children of God” Matthew 5:9, to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in Los Angeles, California for Alejando’s partner and fellow officers. POINT 27 also sent a Folded Flag Necklace engraved with “Greater Love has no one than this; than to lay down one’s life for one’s friend” John 15:13 for Deputy Sheriff Alejandro Martinez’s father.

Also sent to the Martinez Family was a Forever Grateful Military Challenge Coin to honor Alejandro’s dedication to the US Army.

POINT 27 is a Non-Profit organization with a mission to strengthen and encourage members of the Armed Forces, First Responders, and their families, by sharing scripture on Dog Tags and Jewelry called Shields of Strength.

We will never forget and we are forever grateful.

Heavenly Father, I pray for the families of all America’s Peace Officers who have been killed in the Line-of-Duty and I thank you for their sacrifices. Bless the lives of their families so they might find healing. Help their law enforcement departments and agencies support their families. Even though their deaths might have been senseless, make something good come out of these situations so that their departments, agencies and communities, counties, states or nation, the United States of America, in which they lived and worked, might be stronger because of their lives and their deaths. In Christ Jesus’ mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4 ESV]

The LASD Academy is tough. I know because I've been through it. But you, brother... fell to what all of us know is a possibility. It just happened to you way too soon and not in the way anyone would ever expect. My heart goes out to all of Class 464 Recruits who were injured and the Deputies and Officers who have to carry that memory with them forever. My sorrow is LASD Tan and Green Deep. We are all one. We are the Peacemakers and we lost a Hero way too soon. My condolences to DEPUTY Martinez's friends and family. We all feel this pain and mourn together as Brothers and Sisters. RIP Deputy Alejandro Martinez. You will not be forgotten.
