A police officer should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family, and the Eastland County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace brother!

First heard about this tragedy yesterday from my wife. She and I both are LE Chaplains. She (Cheryl) and I are with the City of Elmendorf PD. Our Chief was gunned down in a LODD - 23rd August 2014. Today after church we went out to eat and I saw a table full of Texas Game Wardens. I recognized their badge and patch on your picture in uniform. I gave my condolences as you were at one time a part of their family also. None of this will end in what some call "closure". We can only go through this journey in our own way. He will always be in our memories, hearts, remembering the good - the bad - and certainly the ugly. Let's focus on the dash, that time from his birth and prior to this event. There will be a time that I hope to meet some of the family. Next year during the Texas Peace Officers Memorial in Austin and hopefully again weeks later at National Police Week in Washington, D.C. My deepest condolences to the family and David's LE family.

Deputy Bosecker,

I'm saddened to hear of another law enforcement officer lost in the endless battle against crime. Especially one who worked so tirelessly in varying capacities. I'm sure you have left a legacy of service whom your family, friends, loved ones and colleagues will remember and admire always. I will be praying for all of them. You rest in peace.
