Reflections for Police Officer Jake Wallin
This young man an instrument of Peace and Security is assured a seat in heaven. I am assured of that. Not only by his sacrifice but by the Oaths to protect and serve that he made while at peace about how he would serve humanity.
Jake will never get any older nor be anything then a representation of the best of the best.
A Patriot of America. You are forever loved by all that knew you and by those that have served. Your memory is alive.

I can't believe how far we've come from July 14th. Our only interactions were in passing at shift change in the garage, but you were one of us. You left your mark, Jake. Rest in peace F762.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families in our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a law enforcement family member, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. In Christ Jesus, Your beloved Son, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.

As I visit family graves today of officers families from the past and search for loved ones many through the years have been targeted for death many heros and first responders from many walks of life- what evil does is target love and justice with violence and death! Good sir you and yours have not died in vain but will always be heroes remembered, perhaps it was my North Dakota shirt and one long long trip there once that let me know the beauty of areas and people's that would love you good young sir home to the stars too soon and much loved!
Friends to you and yours with love to yo

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.
There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

I also recently saw the YouTube video featuring the bodycam footage of this incident. I was so saddened and angry. Any given day that anyone puts on the uniform - this could be the outcome. Godspeed Officer Wallin and job well done, sir. Please accept my sincerest condolences to the Wallin family and to the Fargo PD.

Jake, I wish that 7/14/23 would have been just another typical day on the job for you. I am so sorry things turned out as they did. You were very heroic on that day. Rest peacefully in the arms of our Heavenly Father. You have gained your wings, young Officer, now fly high. God loves you.

You'll never know how many people you and your fellow officers saved by attending that accident scene that afternoon. They say you might've saved thousands of people by being where you were that day.
Rest in Peace.

I was shocked and angered at the random senselessness of Police Officer Jake Wallin's murder-especially due to his youth. Upon reading more about this shooting it's apparent the deranged shooter was just starting his rampage-had Jake and his Field Training Officer, Officer Zach Robinson, not been there to stop him-many more innocent people may have been killed too. Thank you both for your courage, patriotism and devotion to America!
Rest in Peace Jake-I pray your grieving Family, Friends and Fargo Officers find comfort knowing you saved lives that day and may it help to ease their anguish.
My sincere condolences-God Bless America.

My condolences she both the family and the department. I do not understand how people can just kill someone for no reason. But I know one thing those who put on the badge are the greatest of the brave as this young man is has shown. He is a peace maker who is with the Lord.

As a civilian of Fargo for 8 years, I want to extend my deepest condolences to Officer Wallin’s family and the Fargo Police Department. We are so honored to have had Officer Wallin protecting and serving our community. If not for his outstanding courage and bravery that tragic day, more lives are sure to have been lost. We are forever thankful, though deeply saddened, for Officer Wallin’s sacrifice in the name of his community. There is no hero greater hero, in my personal opinion, than those that face the threat head on. He’s gone far too soon and tragically, but his name and face will never be forgotten. Thank you for your service, Officer Wallin. May you rest peacefully and continue to watch over your family, your Brothers and Sisters in Blue, and your community. Until we meet again.
To Officer Wallin’s family, my heart, prayers and thoughts go out to you entirely. As a mother myself, I cannot imagine your heartbreak. I extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to you, from parent to parent. I was not lucky enough to know your son, but from all of the wonderful things I’ve heard about him in the past week, I can only imagine how proud you are of him and all he’s accomplished in his 23 years. From a community standpoint, though I don’t know him personally, I am proud of him as well, and beyond thankful for his bravery and sacrifice. May your son forever live on in your hearts. His face, name and honor will forever live on in the community. I pray that one day you are able to find peace in your hearts. Please know and never forget that this community stands tall with and supports you.
For the entire Fargo Police Department, my deepest condolences to each and every one of you as well. I pray that the two officers injured that fateful day recover quickly, and that every officer involved otherwise that day get the proper emotional care and support needed for their own mental health recovery. If not for the bravery and courage of each officer that day, so many more lives could have been lost. This entire community is so thankful for you all and everything you do in order to keep our city safe. As a citizen, I worry for the safety of our officers more than ever now, but cannot even begin to fathom the worry and concern you all have for your own safety when responding to calls, your fellow Brothers and Sisters in Blue, and those of you who have family members on the department. I may just be one citizen, but I Back The Blue through and through. Thank you all for your continued bravery and courage, as well as your service. We Are Fargo Strong.
Sending love, prayers and strength to all.
