Reflections for Police Officer Robert Shisler
Officer Shisler,
On today, the 1st anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice of the citizens of Deptford. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. I know it’s little consolation but at least you took that POS with you so he won’t be taking up space anywhere.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families in our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a law enforcement family member, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. In Christ Jesus, Your beloved Son, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.
There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

Praying for the family of Bobby Shisler, especially today at this massive funeral begins. God's strength will and has sustained you all since March 10th. As a nurse I know how hard Bobby fought to stay with us and the pain and suffering he endured in doing so until God took him home. As a mother with a family member in the police force, I would be so so proud of his ultimate sacrifice to protect our community. Tracy I am so glad that you asked our/your pastor to do the private service for the family on Monday, as well as today. It will be such a testament your son and your family and will bring hope and peace to so many. The loss of a child is unfathomable and the grief will ebb and flow, catching you off guard at times, but God has and will sustain you until you see him again in Heaven, where he is, no doubt, praising his Lord and Savior right now. There is no better place to be. Please know that his sacrifice will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN and your family will always be supported in prayer. We will also be praying for his brother as he continues to serve. SHISLER STRONG!

Rest in Peace sister and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.
I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.
