Ronnie,
I remember our days in the Traffic Section and one in particular when you were a Sgt. and a certain Lt. said something to you and you told him off. I respected you for saying what you truly felt and not just blowing smoke. You were very deserving of being promoted to Lieutenant. Thanks for being you.
Your friend,
Walter

Lt. Woodard, you helped me on one of my first fatals that I worked in Wilson County, thanks. When the call came out no one was sure in which county it was in. You stayed and helped me. I still think of you often, and am glad that I had the chance to meet you.Your work is still not done here. Youe kindness keeps me trying to do the same for other officers and the public alike. Thanks Rest In Peace

Ronnie and I worked together in the patrol divison in lower east Nashville. We worked in CID at the same time. We both were motorcycle officers. Ronnie lived 2 miles from me and we were close personal friends. He offered to lend me a Corvette to take my wife to Gatlinburg for an anniversary. I grew up in east Nashville with the mother of his four children. Ronnie wrecked on I-40 when a lady suddenly stopped in the fast lane and he hit her in the rear end on a m-cycle. I went to the hospital to visit, when he got out of ICU and he was seeing double, but not clear. He knew who I was when I said hi. I asked him if he would ever ride again and he said, "You bring that so and so and park it outside my window and I'll ride it today. I went to Ronnie's funeral and rode with Sgt. Monica Jett. The three of us were partners in patrol, days off, etc; Ronnie I'll see you later, buddy...
