Reflections for Police Officer Dillon Micheal Vakoff
Rest easy brother, we’ll take it from here. Until Valhalla.

My condolences to the family, the law enforcement family and to the city of Arvada with the loss of our brother, Dillon Vakoff. There is nothing that I can say to fill the hole that we have in our hearts. In spite of the dangers, I can tell you that I, while serving with the Pinellas County sheriff’s office, did it because I genuinely wanted to help those that could not help themselves or just needed the support. Dillon was the same, he wanted to be the sheepdog amongst the sheep, protecting them. He served our nation in the U. S. Air Force with honor and pride. He continued that service to the Arvada Police Department in Arvada, Colorado protecting the citizens.

Officer Vakoff, your loss is so tragic, especially in the aftermath of the June 2021 loss of your fellow Arvada officer, Gordon Beesley. Still, we shall put on our uniforms, take our briefings, and call out "clear and available for calls". You should expect no less from us. You have set the example for being faithful unto death.
Thank you for your service to the people of Arvada, the state of Colorado, and to our nation while you were a member of the United States Air Force. May a loving Heavenly Father comfort your family, friends and co-workers. May He also grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
