Danny was assigned to my shift and he was a excellent officer who did anything asked of him. He was a great asset to the McAlester Police Department and the citizens of McAlester along with the state of Oklahoma. Above all that, he was one of my closest friends.

Danny, my amazing husband, best friend and hero. You had no idea how much you were loved by your family, your co-workers, your friends, and your community. You had no idea of the thousands of lives you touched - far and wide. The impact your life had on this earth is immeasurable. I have witnessed just a small percentage of it during and after your passing and even 8 months later I am still hearing stories of how you blessed others. Please know that Grant and I miss you terribly. We will do our best to carry on your legacy of love for others and love for law enforcement. Until we meet again, I love you most.

Most merciful God, You hold each of us dear to Your heart. Hold all America’s Peace Officers and their families, who are afflicted or affected by the COVID-19 Virus, in Your loving arms and tenderly draw them into Your life, together with all others who are living with the COVID-19 Virus. Assure them that they are not alone, and give them courage and faith for all that is to come. Strengthen those who care for them and treat them, and guide those who do research. Forgive those who have judged harshly, and enlighten those who live in prejudice or fear. Nourish those who have lost sight of You, and heal the spirits of those who are broken. We pray this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, who suffered and died, and then rose from the dead to lead us into new life, now and forever. In Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to your entire department and to the family of Master Patrolman William Kelley. We just recently learned of his passing, and although it was very early in the year, we pray you continue to be encouraged by memories of him daily, as well as prayers and support from agencies both near and far. May God bless you all today with a measure of peace.
