The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.
There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

I am so sorry to hear this tragic news. “Tree” and I were partners in the 44th precinct NYPD for most of 2002. He would be deployed with the USAF any chance he got as he was a very patriotic and always wanted to help. A great guy to say the least. I am so sorry. Rest In Peace Brother

Sergeant Astree, we never know how we'll be taken or why. The bottom line is, you were doing your duty when your life was taken from you. Thank you for your service of 17 1/2 years. It's tragic that it could have not been longer.
So long as those who know and love you best keep you forever in their hearts and minds, you will never truly be gone.
God Bless you, Brother and may you forever Rest in Peace.

My wife and I met Jèan-Harold and his wife at the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team Law Enforcement Conference a few years back. Everyone joked that he looked like famous MLB athlete Darryl Strawberry, who was also at the conference as one of the featured speakers.
Jèan-Harold was one of the nicest people to talk to. He will be greatly missed! Sending condolences and comfort for the family in this difficult time!

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family, and the Fairburn Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
