Reflections for Sergeant Peter C. Woods
Petey was my very first partner, and I was his. We were both rookies in 1982 and we were working steady late tours in the 47 and we paired up.
He was a terrific partner and cop and the world has lost a great man.
RIP Partner... Love you Pete..

Rest in perpetual peace , Pete. It was my great pleasure in working with you after our retirements from the NYPD and , the years we enjoyed working at the US Courthouse SDNY. Every time I see a can of baked beans I think of you and the times we all had enjoying them.

Lord Jesus, the endeavors of our nation’s law enforcement officers are often thankless. They must deal daily with the most wicked and volatile members of society. Sometimes, this interaction even costs them their lives. For this example, we praise and thank You. For like You, they are often mocked and scorned. Yet, even for their enemies, they laid down their lives. In Your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4 ESV]
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [and daughters] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]
