Officer Calata
Thanks for your service, dedication and willingness to serve the citizens of Pierce County. Serving as a SWAT member,--while serving arrest warrants is fraught with peril, but you stood in line and bravely did your duty. I too worked SWAT for many years, and have an idea of the risk. You honor our profession and I hope and pray that your comrades, wife and young child know that they were all blessed to have been part of your young life.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family, and the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
