Your heroism and service is honored today, the 96th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

It’s been 93 years ago today that the Quincy Police lost Chief Frank Burrell though due to that injury, it could be said that they lost him a year earlier. The Quincy Police Department is a fine agency and it seems that you were out there, even as chief, doing the job and helping to make a difference.

Your passing is a sad demonstration that no injury can truly be dismissed as minor since we can never be sure what complications will arise. Thank you for your efforts on behalf of the citizens of the Commonwealth.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother
