Thousands and thousands of times I showed up for the shift, never had to pour out the full measure. Was I good, was I lucky, was it just not my time? I do wonder. I took the risks for the public, for the department, for my continued employment, to further myself, my career. I and indeed most make it out alive, but that's no guarantee. Officer Rhonda Russell, took on the risk and poured out the full measure. To her family, to her department, we extend our deepest sympathies, prayers and thanks for her service, for her sacrifice...
