9-26-2012. Chris is my GG grandfather ,Miltons son. According to my grandfather he served only because the community asked him to. Two years later he was shot dead and assailants not apprehended. 9-26-1894
God Bless all of the officers who unselfishly serve only to keep their communities safe. No more - no less.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 84th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

How sad the Marshal's father was killed in the line of duty as well.

James Christopher Burns was my Great Grandfataher and James Milton Burns would be my Great Uncle. I am very proud of their service and their sacrafice and I am thankful to those that honor law enforcement...then and now.
