My sweet Dylan,
You were born a peacekeeper. You wore your badge with pride and treated all people with dignity and respect while enforcing the law. You did not deserve the evil that was done to you. Your memory will live on forever in the hearts of those like me who loved you since you took your first breath and in the hearts of those who know your sacrifice. We will make sure that Brody knows that his father was a hero who loved him and his mother more than anything. Rest in Peace. I love you always,

My precious son,
I'll never understand why we are without you. I'll never understand why this evil man with no respect for life, someone you had never had contact with you stole you away from us. You were the best of all of us. Our hearts are broken. It's not fair that you wife of a little less than two years and this beautiful six month old baby are without you. You made us so proud as you always gave of yourself and expected nothing in return. From your job as a firefighter in Savannah, 911 operator, officer at Middle GA University to a narcotics agent with the Oconee Drug Task Force, you did everything with pride for your fellow man. You helped out other departments as they needed you. You, my baby, truly had a servant's heart. I love you, now and forever.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.
There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

Officer Harrison, there is much evil in the world and you put your life in danger each and every day just so your community may live in peace. Your reward in heaven will be abundant. My heart breaks for your little boy who will miss the love of his dad but surely, you will be his hero. May our Lord immerse you and your loved ones in His Divine Mercy. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.

In Honor of your Sacrifice and for your family and friends, I salute you as a HERO!
"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whose blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

I am so incredibly sorry for this loss of a new Father and Law Enforcement Officer. I know his fellow LEOs and citizens will take care of his family, especially his son, who I want to know we value your Dad forever, even if it's 20 years from now.
Thank you, Harrison family, for sharing Dylan with us during his short life here on Earth. He was not lost in vain, and will be appreciated always!

This has reached Brazil. As a son of a law enforcement officer in Brazil (retired Lt.) and a brother of an active LEO in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, I value police service in the entire world.
Cops are living angels, and they remain our angels in the other side of life.
I am sure Americans thank you for your service and I wish the Holy Ghost to comfort his family and beloved ones.
I dream of the day violence will be close to over, anywhere in this world.
