Mike, your death has affected me tremendously, I feel very honored to have worked with you at the MNPD. I have been and always will be in debt to you taking action on one particular day in 1998. You were a natural when it came to Law Enforcement. I truly truly hope the interview I gave today will help people understand the type of man you were and the type of Police Officer you were. My prayers go out to your family and your agency. Godspeed Brother.

Jehovah Shalom, our God of peace, so many law enforcement officers who are on the front lines to protect us never make it back home to their families. We pray for these fallen officers, Lord God, who gave their lives for us. We pray for the families of these heroes, who have to now endure life without their loved one. Heavenly Father, society tries to move forward, but there is always bloodshed occurring. We approach Your throne of glory to beg of You for peace. Bring peace to this land, the United States of America, Lord God. We plead for Your divine intervention to quiet our hearts and unify our communities, states, and country. Stop the violence that occurs amid our nation. We thank You for all the law enforcement officers who have died protecting us, and ask that You send an everlasting peace so that our law enforcement officers in the field may be safe and return home to their families at shift's end. In Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen.

When I became aware of this unfortunate deadly scenario, a similar checking-for- felonious activity resonated with me from years back when another public safety officer in the Southern region. He was shot and killed while approaching to check suspicious activity on a Greyhound Bus. His name was Maas. DEA Group Supervisor Garbo is truly epitomizes what a hero and faithful servant of the community is. Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4
May his soul rest in peace
