A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the United States Border Patrol. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Heavenly Father, You are merciful and compassionate, no law enforcement officer leaves home without the fear of not returning at the end of the watch. It is a fear that is lived daily. Unfortunately, the worst does sometimes come to pass, and lives are left shattered. O merciful Lord, bless and keep the hearts and souls of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. Wipe away the tears from their eyes. Soothe their pain and bind up their wounds through the blood of Your beloved Son, Jesus. In Christ Jesus, I pray for all those law enforcement officers who have fallen in the Line-of-Duty. Amen.
During his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ proclaimed, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]
