I am so sorry to learn of the grievous loss of Parole Officer LaFaso when she died in the line of duty from Covid. To the LaFaso family, fellow deputies , and all who call Brenda beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support. I hope that you continue to receive that same kind of support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
This is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Parole Officer gave to her community and the residents of Texas and for the supreme sacrifice she and her family made on December 31, 2020.

Almighty and eternal God, we ask You to be with the family of Parole Officer I Brenda Lee LaFaso of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Parole Division. Even as Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, was moved to weep over the death of his friend Lazarus, so we know You are touched by the tears of those who mourn the loss of Parole Officer I Brenda Lee LaFaso. In Your divine providence, fill the aching void in our hearts with Your comforting presence and grant peace through the assurance of Your love and care. In the mighty and holy name of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
During His three (3) year ministry, the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed, “Blessed are those who make peace. They will be called God’s children.” [Matthew 5:9 GW]
