Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Logan Shane Fox

Lord God, You came to Earth to show us what true love looks like. You taught us that love was about sacrifice, virtue, and service. You taught us that love means to lay down Your life for one another. For fallen officers everywhere, we thank You for their selfless example of courage and valor. We ask that You bless and keep the families and friends of these fallen officers. Wipe every tear from their eyes, O Lord. Help them to heal and to move forward in a way that honors his memory. Heavenly Father, bless and keep the families of the fallen police officers. Though the officer made the ultimate sacrifice in their line of duty, their spouses and children are also making an enormous and continuing sacrifice in living on this earth without their loved one. O Lord, help us to rally around these spouses as a community. Help us raise these children as if they are our children. It takes a community, Lord God. Bring us together around the family of a fallen officer to be that community for his family. Give us the means to uplift them and bear their burdens, as You taught us to do in Your Word. In Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen.

MY DEEPEST AND HEARTFELT CONDOLENCE TO THE FAMILY & FRIENDS OF((Deputy Sheriff Logan Fox)Compassionate Father, no police officer leaves home without the fear of not returning at the end of the watch. It is a fear that is lived daily. Unfortunately, the worst does sometimes come to pass, and lives are left shattered. O merciful Lord, bless and keep the hearts and souls of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. Wipe away the tears from their eyes. Soothe their pain and bind up their wounds through the wounds of Your beloved Son, Jesus. Amen.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
one’s character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

I was heartbroken to learn of the deaths of two dedicated officers from North Carolina, the state I was born and raised in. All line of duty makes me so sad, but these hit me hard. To the Fox family, fellow officers, and all who call Logan beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support. I hope that you continue to receive that same kind of support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Officer Fox gave to his community and the residents of North Carolina and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on April 28, 2021

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.
