Rest in eternal Peace, good and faithful public servant.
God has already reserved a special place for our peacemakers.
Please continue your careful and diligent watch over us.

Words cannot describe the heartache those who knew and love you are feeling. Thank you for being one of the brave ones who ran to save lives rather than shrink away from the horror. Your heroic actions will never be forgotten. May your energy and spirit be in abundance and be with your family always. Rest In Peace brother.

"Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died."

Officer Talley, thank you for your dedication to serve your community that they may live in peace and security. Your reward in heaven will be abundant. My heart breaks for the sorrow that your parents are experiencing over the loss of their child. It is against the law of nature that a parent would outlive their. May He immerse you and your loved ones in His Divine Mercy. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.

Officer Talley and family: I offer my humble condolences for your sacrifice. An officer that doesn't hesitate to run into the cauldron while under fire is beyond heroic. Having been in your shoes as a SWAT member, I know how the realization of potential death can grip one's thoughts-yet you still responded to save others. Thanks for your sacrifice and service to Boulder and to the state of Colorado. I hope and pray for your family--it will be a difficult road ahead but they will have the support of your L.E. brothers and sisters.
