Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Lieutenant Frank Arnold

I met Lt. Arnold back in 1992 while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Our unit was conducting counter drug patrols in the area of the Sequoia National Forest looking for grow sites. Det. Arnold was with the Tulare County Sheriff's Office at the time and assigned to my patrol. The L.A. riots occurred while conducting these patrols. We were using a National Guard Center for the base of our operations and the National Guard Unit was activated to head to the riots.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.
