To the family, fellow NMSP officers and friends of Officer Jarrott,

May the Lord provide comfort and His special peace as you go through this time of sorrow and loss. Each time I hear of a police officer being killed in the line of duty, I am deeply saddened.

I have responded to the scene where a fellow officer had been fatally shot on a traffic stop and when I hear of an incident like Officer Jarrott encountered, I am impacted emotionally. He is a front line hero whose memory will live on.
