Almighty and eternal God, we ask You to be with the family of Investigator James M. Cornacchia of the Georgia Institute of Technology Police Department. Even as Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, was moved to weep over the death of his friend Lazarus, so we know You are touched by the tears of those who mourn the loss of Investigator James M. Cornacchia. In Your divine providence, fill the aching void in our hearts with Your comforting presence and grant peace through the assurance of Your love and care. In the mighty and holy name of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

During His three (3) year ministry, the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

Cornhole!

My friend... we all miss you. The GTPD is just not the same without you. I hate that I never got to say goodbye or share one more laugh or joke with you.

You were an honorable man, a family man, and a faithful public servant. You dedicated your life protecting others. You had your struggles, we all do, but you faithfully wore the badge and continued to be ready to answer the call.

I hate that I don't see you in the building, at shift change or out on a call. Cracking inappropriate jokes and sticking your tongue farther out than Gene Simmons from KISS!

The week you spent shadowing me in admin, and the years we worked patrol together were some of the best memories I have of you.

Rest well my friend....
