I don't know why but I look at this man who was cut down in his prime and want to cry. So sad, all the deaths are sad. But for some reason this unsolved senseless death just hit me.

This is so very sad. Condolences to his family, friends, and fellow law-enforcement officers. I wrote this hoping it will help with the agony.
Keeping your eyes on the prize,
you pay homage to God,
the keeper of your soul,
praying day and night.
Then comes that knock on your door
bringing you to your knees,
"Your loved one has been called home."
You're shaken to your core;
God's earthly angels wrap
their loving arms about you,
compassionately consoling you
in your hours of agony and despair.
This distraught seems more than you can bare.
Did I tell them I loved them? Time stands still.
The smallest sparrow does not fall to the earth without God's knowledge.

Was an honor working with you and being part of your class. You really helped me stay motivated these last few years especially with the injuries and all. I still have that conch shell I saved for you. I'll lay it at your memorial.
Thanks for cheering me on and picking me up when I needed it. I was looking forward to you coming to mine and Nathan's wedding. We've agreed we'll still save a seat for you.
Rest easy, brother, we'll hold the line from here. I'll see you in Valhalla. You went out a true warrior. Onóir do na mairbh.
