I find it nearly impossible to express my deep sorrow at this tragedy. Murder of a police officer is of a heinous evil that only comes from the Seventh Circle of Hell. My love and prayers go to the family, friends, and colleagues of Commander Carnicle, and to all First Responders worldwide.
Commander Carnicle, you are true hero and an inspiration to all decent, freedom-loving people. I am infinitely grateful you were willing to apply your knowledge, skill, and effort to protect the peace of our nation. Your name will be held with the deepest honor for generations. Thank you for your service to the City of Phoenix and the State of Arizona.
Oh, beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And [justice] more than life!

Our world is a better and safer place because you were in it.
Our world is darker and more dangerous because your life was taken away by evil incarnate.
