Very few people step forward to accept the responsibility that goes along with becoming a police officer. It takes a special person to fill those shoes.
May God watch over his coworkers as they go about their daily routines,
While carrying the weight of loss and sorrow from this tragic event.
Stay strong.

My heart aches for the Phoenix Police Dept. and the family of Commander Greg Carnicle after losing him so tragically. Serving 31 years with PPD says a lot about him and those he led. He will be missed by all who looked to him as a leader, supervisor, friend and family. Two other LEO’s are alive because of him and PPD will never let his memory fade!

I know he must have been an outstanding individual to respond to a CALL given his rank. He responded to back up his fellow officers and to serve and protect the public. Commander Greg Carnicle will NEVER EVER BE FORGOTTEN. May his soul forever rest in Heaven, and may God provide peace and love to Greg's wife and each of his four children. My deepest condolences to the entire Phoenix Arizona Police Department, and my best wishes to the two other recovering Police Officers who were injured in that awful incident.
