This absolutely breaks my heart. I watch this site daily, and everytime I see a new count my heart is so sad for the families and friends of our officers in blue.

For all other officers out there, keep your heads up and keep safe. I know it cant be easy being an officer. But just remember you're always loved and cared for. I personally have so much respect for you all and all other military, firefighters, and emts. And so many more.

Please be safe out there. Much love friends.

Another great humanitarian stopping to assist a slime ball who then murdered the Nevada Highway Patrol officer. There is no redemption for individuals like this. He should be tried, convicted and executed within 30 days. We, the people, need to make massive changes in our laws to allow states to take immediate action in such cases. Taking years to try a accused person, reviewing and or retrying again and again on appeal then leaving the individual locked up for 20-30-40 years is absolutely insane. The death penalty is no longer a deterrent because there really isn't a death penalty and the criminals know it. It is also insane that officers and even law abiding citizens cannot legally shoot a person in the back after the offender takes his/her illegal actions then runs away. If you don't want to be shot in the back, don't run away. Can you imagine in the old western days when the crooks robbed a bank, hopped on their horses and rode away, that the sheriff didn't shoot at the robbers because they were no longer a threat? Insane! They ARE still a threat and will continue to commit their unlawful acts as long as they get away with it. Others likely think it but don't say it. My apology to everyone who disagrees with my perspective. Are you happy with the criminal activity we have in America? Perhaps we need change not sympathy for the offender. My deepest condolences to Officer Jenkins family. May God bless you and may he rest in peace.

Semper Fi Trooper. Your life was that of a honorable and caring man. We will all remember you and may God bless you and bless your family. We are close to the 50th year since our Four brave California Highway Patrol Officers were gunned down in Newhall. I was working in South LA that night and will never forget that tragic loss. Your loss is also one that will forever be in my heart and mind. Rest In Peace brother.
