Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

By Jon F. Hooper

To my best friend, Joe Bullock
You were a blessing to me as we served in the Air Force. We met in March 1996 as new airman while based in Minot, ND. We made a friendship that has been unbroken. We made great memories on deployments to Saudi Arabia and Korea! You served as my best man and our friendship has been always been strong .
I was so excited when we completed our Air Force enlistment. The only problem was we didn't live close anymore. You went home to FL and I went home to TN.
We both got jobs in Law Enforcement, and life continued on. We talked alot but not enough. I always knew you were there for me through good times and bad. I had a friendship that was supposed to last forever.

I will miss the phone calls and how you felt like my little brother! You were the glue to the "Airforce Buddies" from our days at Minot AFB. We all love you and will miss you. I don't know why this happened, but I know that you will always have a special place in my heart and many others. You a True Hero little brother! God bless you!

It's devastating to me, even as a civ, to hear the words "Officer Down". Even though I didnt know him or her it still hurts me and my pride when I hear that another Hero who swore that he would give their life to protect or save another person who doesn't even know them.
And the fact that they died knowing that they could lose their lives in the Line of duty and know that they had done so in the safety of a greatful community, and a greatful Nation who shall be honored and remembered in the eyes of the Lord.
Because only a TRUE hero is someone who can and WILL look fear and death and pain in their eyes and go beyond a boundary that most would never reach or cross and DEFY let alone survive it and be able to walk away knowing that they saved another persons life is something that is etched into the hearts and minds of a greatful generation for many years to come.
