Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Katherine was killed in the line of duty.

To the Thyne family, fellow officers, and all who call Katherine beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support. I know that that you will receive that same kind of support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Officer Thyne gave to her community and the citizens of Virginia and for the supreme sacrifice she and her family made on January 23, 2020.

Is a promise from God to his chosen people that he will always provide watchmen for our walls. Sentinels and soldiers who see evil coming from along way off, and lead the charge to look for good. To all of you who remain on the wall we say thank you.  There are an infinite number of ways one can pass from this world. And I can think of no better way to go then to offer up your life for the sake of freedom.
