Reflections for Police Officer Katherine Mary Thyne
On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Katherine was killed in the line of duty.
To the Thyne family, fellow officers, and all who call Katherine beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support. I know that that you will receive that same kind of support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Officer Thyne gave to her community and the citizens of Virginia and for the supreme sacrifice she and her family made on January 23, 2020.

I have had the honor and privilege of volunteering to serve both police officers and firefighters in the town in which I live. There is one promise that runs deep within these departments and departments across our great nation, “Not on my watch”. These brave men and women selflessly serve the citizens of their communities day in and day out, weekends, deep nights and holidays away from their loved ones because of a higher calling, to protect and serve. Thank you for your service and the ultimate sacrifice you have made Officer Katherine Mary Thyne. May GOD wrap his loving arms around your family, both blood and blue, during this most sorrowful time. May heaven give you the heroes welcome you so richly deserve, and may you now patrol streets of gold. Please continue to watch over us. GOD speed.

62nd chapter of Isaiah verse 6
Is a promise from God to his chosen people that he will always provide watchmen for our walls. Sentinels and soldiers who see evil coming from along way off, and lead the charge to look for good. To all of you who remain on the wall we say thank you. There are an infinite number of ways one can pass from this world. And I can think of no better way to go then to offer up your life for the sake of freedom. The honor of standing against the agents of chaos who prowl in the shadows. and to say to them you may take my life but you will go no further. I give my life so that others may live free. Officer Katie Thyne the community prays for you and your family. Please pray for us.

Rest in Peace sister and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.
I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.
