Reflections for Sergeant Joseph Brian Montijo
I didn’t know him very long. But, his reputation was excellent and my few interactions with him were memorable!
I was on scene that day on Dahlia. It was a terribly hot and humid day. I did not know until I read on ODMP that he passed due to heat exhaustion. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Kind Regards,
Chaplain T. Vowell, Badge #005

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Chattanooga Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
