Heavenly Father, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Sheriff John Williams, Sr., of the Lowndes County, Alabama Sheriff’s Office, was suddenly and violently taken from us on Saturday, November 23, 2019; shot and killed in the Line-of-Duty after responding to a disorderly group complaint. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the cross. We ask this through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can go to the Father except by way of the Son. Amen.
“The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends.” [John 15:13 GW]

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
